How much is shipping?

All items will ship either by USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation as a courtesy to you or Express Mail/Express Mail International. You will receive a tracking number/delivery confirmation number when the order ships. Please note that Tutu Girl is NOT responsible for lost packages, delayed, stolen or unclaimed packages. To protect your special purchase, we suggest you pay the extra money and insure your package. If you return the package to us without prior consent, we will not issue a merchandise credit. If an unclaimed package is returned back to Tutu Girl, we reserve the right to re-bill you for re-shipping charges. Tutu Girl is not responsible if the incorrect address is indicated on the invoice. When can I expect to receive my order?

For details regarding our current shipping time frame, please refer to our home page. Depending on the time of year, our shipping time frame may vary. Please keep in made that Tutu Girl tutus are handmade, made-to-order on a first come-first serve basis. We don't sacrifice quality for time! Non-business days (such as New Years Day, July 4th, Columbus Day, Veterns Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) can not be counted in to our time frame and no shipping will occur on these days. If you have any concerns or know you need your tutu(s) sooner, please e-mail us directly BEFORE you order and we will let you know if we can accommodate your request.

Can I Get My Order Rushed?

This depends but always e-mail us first to see if we could rush your order. Generally, we can rush our signature tutus (depending on the amount ordered) but adding other items to the cart will delay your order. Rush orders are subject to a rush fee and EXPRESS MAIL must be selected to ensure prompt delivery.

Special Date Request?

Do you need your package by a certain date? Please contact us prior to ordering to make sure we can accomodate your request. Additionally, this "need by" date must be indicated in writing on the invoice otherwise we can't guarantee delivery. This is especially important of all "Express Mail" packages. Please be aware that RUSH orders (orders where the package must ship before our current shipping schedule) is subject to a rush fee and we can't guarantee earlier shipment unless you contact us prior to ordering. If I select EXPRESS MAIL, does that mean I'll receive my box within 1-2 days?

No, unless you contact Tutu Girl prior to ordering and we give you the "okay" that you'll get it with 1-2 days. Please be aware that unless we approve first, you will NOT receive your box within 1-2 days from the date you placed the order. Selecting Express Mail has a 1-2 day transit time from the date it leaves our facility as opposed to Priority Mail, which takes longer. If you select Express Mail, we do bump your order up, and you'll generally receive it under our indicated ship schedule. If you need a box promply, we highly recommend you select Express Mail, and it must be selected with all rush orders. As with all orders, if you need a box for a special event, please let us know at checkout.

Can I cancel my order?

You must cancel the order within 48 hours for all standard, non-rush orders, unless it has already gone into production. If you placed a "rush" order with us and you selected Express Mail, meaning you want your order faster, we can't cancel or change anything for Express Mail orders - no exception. Disputing credit card/PayPal charges will not grant you a refund as all our refund/exchange/cancellation terms are clearly outlined here on TutuGirl.com.

What if I select PRIORITY MAIL and state that I need by order earlier than the current ship schedule?

You may get lucky, depending on how busy we are, but unless you order within our shipping time frame, we can't guarantee delivery nor can Tutu Girl be held responsible if the box doesn't arrive in time for your need by date. If you have concerns, selecting Express Mail would be recommended and/or contacting tutugirl.com prior to ordering to see if your need by date is possible with Priority Mail.

Does Tutu Girl accept returns?

Since all our items are custom made (tutus, tops, bows, bloomers, etc.), all sales are final. The only time we accept returns is if we made a mistake by sending the wrong size or color. Under pre-approved circumstances, we may accept a return, but there is a 30% restocking fee and any shipping charges will not be refunded. Upon receipt of the merchandise, if Tutu Girl suspects an item has been used or not received in appropriate condition (smashed in box, damaged, etc.) , the merchandise will be shipped back to you at your expense. Simply returning your order and asking for a refund will NOT be accepted. The merchandise will be shipped back to you at your expense outlined in our shipping charges. Please be careful when placing your order and double-check what is indicated on all personalized items, tulle color(s) and sizes. All unclaimed boxes that are sent back to us will NOT be refunded - no exceptions. All personalized items, discounted and sale items are final. Absolutely no refunds on our .pdf instructions.

What type of tulle is used?

We use the highest grade of tulle to create the most exquisite tutu - fit for an heirloom! Tutu Girl believes in protecting our children! Our tutu fabric is lead safe nylon apparel tulle (not craft tulle) and is manufactured in the USA, which is VERY IMPORTANT and seperates us from others. Because our tulle has to pass very stringent quality tests, the federal government recognizes nylon as being inherently flame retardant. Most companies like to use polyester tulle because it's cheaper but polyester tulle is not safe. Polyester tulle is sometimes treated to make it flame retardant, but the chemical used may be a carcinogen, which can lead to cancer.

Are the tutus pre-made and stocked?

TuTu Girl specializes in the custom tutu! All tutus are made-to-order to ensure the best fit possible and to meet your specifications. Tutu Girl is always available to work with you to create the tutu or your dreams!

What I have a tutu design in mind that isn't shown in the store?

What tutu colors are available?

We carry over 50 radiant colors for the most divine custom tutu! Please view our extensive color chart for details on all colors. Can't decide on a favorite color? Feel free to mix colors too at no additional charge, including our fantastic "color block" tutus. We do not limit the number of colors in your tutu.

What size tutu should I order?

Since all tutus are custom and hand-made, we recommend you measure your child to ensure the best fit possible. Please click HERE view our tutu measuring guide to determine what size to order.

What length should I order?

We have 6 lengths to choose. Need a length now different than these styles? No problem! Our CUSTOM Tutu Collection is where you need to shop!

PRISSY Tutus are approximately 6" long; POOFY Tutus are approximately 8" long; CLASSIC tutus are approximately 10" long; PRINCESS tutus are approximately 14" long; PRIMA tutus are approximately 18" long;PORTRAIT tutus are approximately 22" long.

What happens if I don't select a tutu length/waist size from the dropdown?

Please make absolutely certain you select a length and/or waist size from the dropdown (prissy, poofy, etc.) If you don't select a length and/or waist size, by default, you have ordered and paid for our Prissy 6" length and/or 0-24m/2T waist size. Tutu Girl is NOT responsible for you not selecting a length and/or waist size. In the event a different length and/or waist size was actually desired and we will not be able to accept a refund/exchange as all our products are custom, made to order. Please confirm your order before submitting it.

Can I order a style that is shown on your website as sample tutu pictures?

Absolutely! Please visit our PRE-DESIGNED Tutu Collection and locate the tutu you love.

What type of hair clip should I order?

We offer two types of standard clips: pinch clips and French barrettes. Pinch clips are perfect for girls with thinner hair and are very easy for a child to take on and off all by herself. French barrettes are great for girls with a lot of hair, but usually requires the assistance or mom or dad to put on or take off.

How do I clean my tutu?

We recommenend spot cleaning with cool water as needed, especially if your tutu has embellishements. Steam from your shower is the best way to remove wrinkles. Comb, shake and fluff. You can remove wrinkles using steam from an iron, but use caution to NOT allow the iron to touch the tulle. DO NOT dry tutus in the dryer! All tutus must hang dry. To keep fluffy, store on a hanger away from other garments to avoid smashing the tutu.
